TWIN ARC TUBE HIGH PRESSURE SODIUM LAMPS

This Instant Restrike lamp was created as a safety product to insure rapid recovery from a momentary power interruption without the need for an emergency back-up. Two arc tubes are built into the same lamp. Should a momentary power interruption occur extinguishing the lamp, the alternate arc-tube will ignite immediately, as soon as power is returned, providing full power illumination. When the first arc-tube finally fails, the second takes over and the lamp then functions as an ordinary high pressure sodium lamp would. It's like getting two lamps in one.
